Frequently asked questions

How many tiles do I need for a 10x12 room?

A 10x12 ft room is 120 sq ft. With 2x2 ft tiles (600x600 mm, about 3.9 sq ft each) and 10% extra, you need about 35 tiles, which is 9 boxes of 4 tiles.

How much extra tile should I buy?

Buy about 10% extra for a straight layout and about 15% for diagonal or herringbone layouts, to cover cutting and breakage.

How do I calculate bathroom wall tiles?

Multiply the room perimeter by the wall height, then subtract doors and windows. For a 6x8 ft bathroom with 7 ft walls and one door, that is 28 x 7 = 196 minus 21 = 175 sq ft.
